BRAIN CONTROLLED ARTIFICIAL LEGS

 ABSTRACT

This paper describes a brain controlled robotic leg which is designed to perform the normal operations of a human leg. After implanting this leg in a human, the leg can be controlled with the help of user’s brain signals alone. This leg behaves similar to a normal human leg and it can perform operation like walking, running, climbing stairs etc. The entire system is controlled with the help of advanced microcontrollers and digital signal processors. The signals are taken out from the human brain with the help of electroencephalography technique. The person can perform operations like walking, running etc just by their thought. This system will be very much suitable for those who lost their legs in accidents and the proposed system is hundred percent feasible in the real time environment with the currently available technology.
The Brain Controlled Artificial Legs are very much cost effective when compared to the normal Artificial legs which is available in the market. The reduction in cost of the proposed system is found to be above 80% when compared to the existing system. Moreover, the user can have full control over the artificial legs which is not possible in the existing system.

VLSI IMPLEMENTATION OF SPEECH TO TEXT CONVERSION

ABSTRACT

In this paper an efficient method for conversion of speech into text is been proposed.  The main aim of the project is to access the internet for the blind person.  The project is designed using FPGA for the hardware realization.  The commercial software available is mainly operating system dependent and less robust.  This voice processor designed using FPGA so that it is operating system independent.  We have taken up the complex speech recognition system and the word by word recognition is completed.

AUTOMATIC OPERATION OF RAILWAY GATES USING RFID ( RADIO FREQUENCY IDENTIFICATION ) TECHNOLOGY

ABSTRACT:

‘Accidents’, the word that flashes in today’s news bulletin.  We know that the Indian railway network is the biggest in South Asia and perhaps the most complicated of all. Though the timetable has been perfectly framed, it is not possible to adhere to the pre-defined schedule. That is why train accidents have become common phenomena. As there are nearly 30,000 level crossings in India, the Government cannot afford to appoint workers to supervise the level crossings. So why don’t we improvise the system so that it can by itself detect train presence and avoid accidents!!!This paper may be considered as a combination of RFID, embedded systems and various communication techniques. This paper provides a solution to prevent railway accidents at unmanned railway crossings. In this paper we have also tried to provide a solution to the head to head collisions which is a great headache to the Indian railways.

ADVANCED TRENDIN IT “HOTTEST INFORMATION TRACKING TECHNOLOGY RFID TECHNOLOGY’

ABSTRACT:

RFID technology  is a key to automate everthing. It has emerged as a hottest information tracking and identifying technology with tremondous potential applications. The technology also provides significant advantages over traditional object-tracking technologies and is increasingly adopted and deployed in real applications. This paper gives a brief introduction about RFID, followed by a comparision between RFID and other identification technologies. The paper discusses the applications of RFID technology and then a case study that involves RFID technology in library management system with a database developed using visual basics. This case study provides an efficient technique for managing a library with a large amount of books and a lot of readers. In addition to this, the paper also provides a RFID -based technique for theft detection in libraries.

ROBOT LOCALISATION USING WI-FI SIGNAL WITHOUT INTENSITY MAP

ABSTRACT:

This paper describes a method to estimate the position of a mobile robot in an indoor scenario using the odometric calculus and the Wi-Fi energy received from the wireless infrastructure. This energy will be measured by wireless network card on-board a mobile robot and it will be used as another regular sensor to improve position estimation. The Bayes rule will be used to accumulate localization probability as the robot moves on. In this paper several experiments in a university building are shown. The two major contributions of the presented work are that the self-localization error achieved is bounded, and that no significant degradation is observed when the theoretical Wi-Fi energy at each point is taken from radio propagation model instead of an a priori experimental intensity map of the environment.

4G-TECHNOLOGY AND ITS APPLICATION IN AUTOTARGETTING

ABSTRACT:

The fourth generation of mobile networks will truly turn the current mobile phone networks, in to end to end IP based networks, couple this with the arrival of IPv6, every device in the world will have a unique IP address, which will allow full IP based communications from a mobile device, right to the core of the internet, and back out again. If 4G is implemented correctly, it will truly harmonise global roaming, super high speed connectivity, and transparent end user performance on every mobile communications device in the world.

DESIGN OF ECHO CANCELLATION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION MEDIUM

Abstract

In this work we have explained about the detailed structure of Echo Cancellation. Here you may know about various types of echo cancellations &also its causes. The process & controlling of echos were explained in detailed manner.

EMBEDDED SYSTEMS USING MICROPROCESSOR TO DETECT HUMANBEING BURIED BY EARTHQUAKE

ABSTRACT

“Thousands of persons killed as a cause of earthquake”. The above words aren’t the headlines of the newspaper but daily news everyone come across whenever we go through a newspaper or watching over a TV news.  A person’s life is precious and meaningful to his loved ones.

We, as responsible Engineers felt a part of society to bring a system to avoid thesemishaps. With the meteoric embedded systems along with microprocessor our designed system in preventing deaths and providing safe guided measures.
